This place is great! Little Italy is literally down the street from here. So much to do. Very nice, clean place also very friendly and quiet.
Great location! Absolutely loved that the place came with all necessary amenities, and a well stocked mini kitchen in room, in addition to the full sized shared kitchen. Location is super nice and felt very safe and comfortable for a long term stay. 🤗 Would recommend to a friend!

I recently stayed at the Hawthorne Historic Inn ,for our honeymoon and it was wonderful! The apartment felt like home, with fresh flowers greeting us and the stairs freshly cleaned. We stayed in the honeymoon suite with our two medium-sized Brittany Spaniels, and they were comfortable throughout our entire four weeks. The noise from planes landing didn’t bother them after a while, and we loved the location near Balboa Park, which was just a mile away and very dog-friendly. We enjoyed walking there morning and night. It was great to see that other rooms also had dogs, making it feel like our pups were part of a big canine community! They certainly made some new friends. The apartment had everything we needed, was nicely organized and designed, and felt safe. Having a designated parking spot was a great bonus. The entrance was shared with other guests, who were all extremely kind, and the place was very quiet. I would definitely come back! Thanks Michelle💖 and Greg!

Quaint, clean accommodation conveniently located near Little Italy and Gaslamp! Beautiful historic building. The hosts are responsive and provide easy instructions. - Directly under flight path of arriving flights, so it can get very loud. The host supplies your stay with ear plugs. The sound is manageable for a weekend, especially if you’re out and about.

Only negative is the planes flying over but was told about it when we booked and it is what it is. The price fits the location if it wasn’t for the planes the price would be higher.

I loved staying at this place! Pictures matched what was posted and it was clean. Things not listed in the Airbnb post which are helpful to know is that there is a manager on site and he is awesome! If something is wrong, he will help you figure it out quickly. Great place for solo travelers as it is extremely safe with door codes (also no issues with packages getting stolen). Great view from patio and deck! This place is definitely on the cheaper side considering the area (also 201 is the cheapest unit in the inn I believe). Had no issues with the communal kitchen as they constantly cleaned common areas such as taking out the trash and vacuuming the hallways. I would recommend this to anyone I know!! Great hosts, amazing place, and fun city.
