The relentless expansion of the ocean is difficult to see. Tonight is a King Tide and many beaches will be completely covered up by the rising tide and ocean. You can see it best at La Jolla Shores beach at 9 PM tonight.

Predictioins are that what you see tonight will be common place in a few decades as our beautiful beaches become permanently reclaimed by the ocean. La Jolla Shores Hotel offers a great view and has a wonderful restaurant from which to watch the king tide to night.
